CME Committees & Subcommittees
Based on identified educational needs, a planning committee is established for each CME activity. All committees are established to oversee the planning process for each activity, and to ensure that the activity meets the standards for category 1 credit. Dr. O’Neill chairs each activity planning committee.
In addition to the activity-specific planning committees, the CME Division is supported by a number of permanent committees that ensure continued high quality CME programming for the Creighton University community. These committees are listed below with links to contact information for each committee member. Committee on Continuing Medical Education
Meeting Dates: Quarterly (Fridays - 7:30am)
Program Review Subcommittee
Reviews programs for Category 1 credit.
Meeting Dates: First Friday of every month - 7:15 am
Strategic Planning & Policy Subcommittee
Develops a long-range plan for the Continuing Medical Education Division/Program. Develops policies and procedures to be utilized by the Continuing Medical Education Division/Program.
Meeting Dates: One or two per year as needed
Distinguished Lecture Series Committee
Reviews and selects speakers for the Distinguished Lecture Series.
Meeting Dates: Biannually
Health Sciences Continuing Education Committee
Explores areas the Creighton University Health Sciences can work together on continuing education activities.
Meeting Dates: Quarterly
Curriculum Coordinators/Department Contacts
Provides a mechanism for coordination of Creighton University Departmental Conferences.
